“Dad, could you make me a big table for Poker and games nights please ?”
Well, if my old dining table is the table bit, lets make something big enough that can unfold and sit on top of the table as frankly a table this size would just be FAR too big for your front room !
With a nice padded edge with the blue leather effect vinyl to make it feel like a proper poker table

As it could only be made with two hinges (to sit outside of the table top), It was made with 18mm hardwood plywood to prevent any flexing and has a nice smooth green felt games surface.
The black poker mat is made from a high quality neoprene matt which is removable but fits perfectly inside it.
Please excuse the lack of nice pictures of the item completed as it was completed only just before I had to take it up to scotland !
(NOTE TO SELF, Green sticky backed felt is just a total ***** to deal with !!!!
As this particular table posed a lot of engineering challenges because of how it needs to fold and to not have the hinges on the table top underneath, it did mean that there was a lot of thinking and going back to the drawing board.
