Some of those ways are more reliable / quicker than others, so whilst emails, some sort of messenger or chatting face to face tends to be most reliable, I would avoid trying to use carrier pigeon, telepathy, a message in a bottle or something written down on a paper airplane if you actually want me to chat back.
